Privacy policy

Lumen, Steady, Glide, Hush and Murmur (the "extensions") are made by Yasin Cetiner. This policy covers all five.

Summary

The extensions don't collect, sell or share personal data. There are no accounts and no analytics, and your settings stay in your browser. The only thing that ever reaches our server is the optional, anonymous answer you can give when you uninstall.

What each extension stores

Network requests

Lumen re-downloads stylesheets that the page you're viewing has already loaded, to find the site's own dark-theme rules when the browser blocks reading them directly. These requests go to the same addresses the page already used, without cookies, and their contents are used only in your browser.
Steady, Glide, Hush and Murmur make no network requests. Murmur's sounds are generated in your browser.
When you uninstall any of the extensions, Chrome opens a one-question page on ease.artizco.com asking why. The server records only which extension and version it was and which answer you picked, if any: no IP address, no cookies, no identifiers.

Audio

Steady processes a tab's audio only after you turn it on for that tab. The audio is adjusted in real time inside your browser and played back. It is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.

Permissions and why

Lumen: storage for your settings; access to all sites so it can apply dark mode to the pages you visit; scripting to apply a site's own dark-theme rules in a way the page itself can't read. It never fetches stylesheets from your own computer or local network.
Steady: tabCapture and offscreen to process the audio of a tab you turn it on for; activeTab to show that tab's title; storage for your comfort level.
Glide: activeTab and scripting to scroll the current tab only when you click the icon or press the shortcut; storage for your speed.
Hush: storage for your settings; it runs on all sites so it can stop autoplay before it starts; activeTab to show the current tab's title.
Murmur: offscreen to keep playing with the popup closed; storage for your mix. It has no access to any website.

Who is responsible, and your rights

The controller for any personal data is Yasin Cetiner (Artizco), based in Finland. In practice the extensions handle almost none: settings stay in your browser, and the uninstall answer is anonymous. If you think something here isn't right, contact us first. You can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi) or the data protection authority where you live.
